Parked it at the beach of floating isle, explored isle on foot. Saved when I got to the peak looking out at the great view. Ran back down isle to beach and my moth was gone forever. Loaded my save and moth was lost to never land. It also happened the first time I made a cyclops.

But it looks like they just drove it onto dry land, running into it should be fine.
A seamoth is just not that expensive to build, and basically nothing in the game is irreplaceable. It is possible to build base units with vertical sections/ladders up to it. It will be a massive undertaking, requiring you to gather ridiculous amounts of titanium, but it is possible. Even if I had console commands on PS4, my seamoth is trapped inside a wreck and I’m fairly certain the Terraformer wouldn’t work on that.
