Lost sector drop rates.
Following an increase to the Vex Strike Force public event, the latest Destiny 2 patch improves exotic drop rates in Lost Sectors, and more. While an amount was not given, the latest patch supposedly increases the drop rate of exotics when playing solo Lost Sectors.
With all the changes, bungie made it's surprising that they didn't solve this Lost Sector drops issue. I ran todays lost sector 12 times and got only one exotic drop, unluckiest I have ever been. Some people have started keeping track of large amounts of platinums. They’re getting well over 30% for legendary. The drop rate is somewhere between 33-25 percent, maybe lower? If we are to use hunter helmets as an example and say a master lost sector takes between 5-10 minutes that means you are t5aking maybe 15-35 minutes for a 1/8ish chance at the exotic you want, and then hoping that drop doesn't have garbage rolls.Heck, I have received only Glimmer 9 times. Here is a quick breakdown: -I received a platinum clear every single time. -My fastest clear was 4:57. -My longest was 9:01. Why are the drop rate just complete trash for this current lost sector. Ive ran this bs to many time to count on both my hands and just keep getting crappy guns and prisms that i dont need. 1320 lost sector exotic drop rate is broken. i only clear them with platinum and 10 runs nothing. NF weapon drops are even worse. i did 15 clears of 1320 (all with platinum and with the vanguard ghost mod equipped) before i got a NF weapon, and of course it had the absolute worst roll ever. It depends on your own ability and the lost sector. 99% of the time though, Legend will be less hassle and work out better in the long run. If you average 5 Master runs per 30 minutes, but can do 7 or 8 (with less stress) of Legend in the same time, Legend will definitely be better over time. And here is typical nonsensical bitching. Number tuning does not require a creative vision, one cannot creatively decide 8% is a good drop rate vs 6% because it looks better or something .... TLDR- Average run time was 2:38, I had deaths on 5/36 runs, Average chest stat was 65.25, and the drop rate was 33%. IIRC- the old legend rate was 26%, so this is a nice bump. Average successful run time was 2:37, died on 2/12 runs. 50.
Once you get a lost sector exotic, it becomes part of the rest of the world drops. I've gotten a bunch of necrotic grips from random world exotics and even the season pass ever since I got the first pair from a lost sector. And those usually drop above 60 stats.

If you miss any champs, that drop rate plummets. Some lost sectors have some tricky champs to watch out for. Sometimes you just hit a drought.
